What's new in Interconnect 4.0
Adaptive zero-trust, faster mesh convergence, and a redesigned policy model. A tour of the biggest release yet.
Interconnect 4.0 is our biggest release yet. It sharpens the things teams rely on every day — access decisions, mesh performance, and the policy model — while keeping the promise that made Interconnect different: secure connectivity you deploy in minutes.
Here's a tour of what's new.
Adaptive zero-trust
Access is no longer a static grant. Interconnect 4.0 continuously weighs identity, device posture and context, and adjusts access in real time as those signals change. A device that falls out of compliance loses access automatically — no manual revocation, no waiting for the next audit.
Faster mesh convergence
We rebuilt how nodes discover each other and agree on routes. New sites join the mesh and reach steady state noticeably faster, and recovery after a disruption is quicker and quieter. Bigger meshes feel as responsive as small ones.
A redesigned policy model
Policy is now easier to read and reason about. Rules are expressed once and apply consistently across every site and cloud, with clearer previews of what a change will do before you ship it. Fewer surprises, less second-guessing.
Upgrading
Existing deployments upgrade in place with no downtime. If you're on a recent version, there's nothing to re-architect — the new capabilities light up as you adopt them.
